Best Driver in a leading role:

YUKI TSUNODA

Pole and win, great weekend for the young Carlin and Red Bull driver.

After he stole the pole position from Nikita Mazepin he also stole the win from the Russian who crossed the line first but got penalized, Yuki did an amazing job throughout the weekend and jumped to 3rd in the Championship. On Sunday, he got penalized and could not pickup points.

Best Driver in a supporting role:

ROY NISSANY

He’s fast. Trident has showed a better pace here at Spa than in others tracks and it ended up with a great result for the Italian team.

Nissany did a good job on Friday, qualifying 15th 3 tenths ahead of his teammate Sato 16th. On Saturday he completed the job finishing 8th after an amazing race, outperforming Sato who finished 15th and adding 4 more well-deserved points to his personal score. After starting 1st on Sunday, he was hit  by Ticktum and he had to retire the car.

Best Direction:

PREMA

Great weekend for Prema, which was able to put Schumacher on the podium twice as Shwartzman won the Sprint Race after a 5th place on Saturday.  They gained many points in the Championship.

Best Visual Effects:

TRIDENT

No one knows why but Trident was more competitive than usual. On Friday, they showed a good pace, not comparable to the top ones but closer to the mix. After a “better than usual” qualifying, the team picked up points with an excellent Nissany, who finished 8th. Sunday wasn’t as good as Saturday as Nissany was hit by Ticktum fighting for the 1st place and Sato was hit by Daruvala at the Bus stop.

Biggest Disappointment

Another weekend off the pace for ART as they struggled a lot during the last two weekends in Spain and Belgium. Armstrong has struggled a lot throughout the whole season while Lundgaard seemed much more on the pace. After a disastrous Friday, Armstrong qualified 13th and Lundgaard 18th, Saturday wasn’t kind to them too as they finished 15th and 17th. The weekend was saved by Lundgaard’s incredible performance on Sunday, after starting 17th he managed to end up 8th, then promoted 7th due to Tsunoda’s penalty as he picked up 2 points.

The Most Frustrated

MP Motorsport and Nikita Mazepin

Crash and broken wing for this week’s winners of the award. MP starting 3rd and 5th on Saturday wasn’t able to pick up points because of a crash between teammates which ruined Saturday’s and Sunday’s race too. While the Hitech driver got penalized at the chequered flag due to a too aggressive defense against Tsunoda.
